Taziker successfully tendered a major earthworks project on works on the Great Eastern Main Line between Brentwood and Harold Wood stations.
The remit was to stabilise a problematic embankment by importing and grading around 1,500t of aggregate.
We worked collaboratively with Network Rail, adjacent private property owners and the M25 management team to minimise access disruption and enhance the aesthetics of the overall site when the main works were completed.
We undertook significant works to improve third-party drainage and clearance to aid aesthetics, at no aditional costs to the contract.
Safety is at the heart of everything we do and keeping our engineering operatives safe whilst working, is of paramount importance to us.
The installation of Vortok fencing and ALO establishment was to enable safe working within clearly visible parameters.
Identification of significant safety issues, and protection by 'layering-up' over and above a high-pressure fuel pipe, sitting beneath the single access avenue.
Bulk volume materials were purchased from the most local suppliers.
Exceeding our customers' expectations

The works were completed ahead of the original programme which surprised us considering unforeseen design changes were required, halting the project midway through. - Track and structure monitoring
- Ecological survey
- Vegetation management
- Site establishment and installation of a haul road
- Supply and installation of Vortok fencing
- Waste Acceptance Criteria (WAC) testing on excavated materials
- Ditch clearing and temporary pipe installation, for machine access
- Extension of inclinometer tubes
- Embankment stabilistation works by benching from high to low mileage
