Privacy Policy
Privacy policy
Taziker Industrial Ltd (“we”, “our” and “us”) is committed to protecting and respecting your privacy.
This policy explains how we collect and use personal data about you, whether you visit our website www.taziker.com (our “Site”), contact us, or sign in at one of our sites or offices. Please read it carefully.
Who we are
For the purposes of the UK General Data Protection Regulation (“UK GDPR”) and the Data Protection Act 2018, the data controller is Taziker Industrial Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales under company number 02766990, with its registered office at Levens House, Ackhurst Business Park, Foxhole Road, Chorley, PR7 1NY.
Information we may collect from you
- Information you give us by filling in forms on our Site, for example when you make an enquiry, apply for a job, subscribe to a service or report a problem with our Site.
- Records of correspondence if you contact us.
- Your answers to surveys, if you choose to respond. You do not have to.
- Details of your visits to our Site, such as traffic data, the pages you view and technical information about your device and browser. Our cookie banner explains the cookies we use and lets you choose.
How we use it, and our legal basis
- To respond to your enquiries and provide the services you ask for (to take steps at your request or perform a contract with you).
- To carry out our obligations under any contract between you and us (performance of a contract).
- To run, secure and improve our Site (our legitimate interests).
- To tell you about changes to our services (our legitimate interests).
- To send you marketing about our services, only where you have agreed to this or, if you are an existing customer, about services similar to those you have bought from us. You can opt out at any time using the link in any message or by contacting us.
- To comply with our legal obligations.
We do not sell your personal data.
Site and office sign-in
When you sign in or out on one of our sign-in iPads at a site or office, we record your name, the times you sign in and out, and where. Depending on the site, we may also record:
- your payroll number (employees), or your mobile number and company (everyone else)
- a sign-in photo
- your travel time
- the vehicle you arrived in
- who you are visiting
- whether you are taking medication we should know about (yes or no only; we never ask what it is)
We also record the location of the iPad, not your phone, to check it has not been moved off site. We use this to know who is on site for safety and emergencies, to meet our health and safety duties, to record working time and hours, and to manage car parks and site security. Our legal basis is our health and safety obligations, our employment and engagement contracts, and our legitimate interest in running safe, secure sites. The medication answer is health information: we process it to meet our employment and health and safety obligations (UK GDPR Article 9(2)(b)), and only the nominated people on that site are told that you have declared it. Sign-in photos and visitor details are kept for 10 years. Sign-in records are kept as long as our timesheet and working-time records.
Who we share it with
- Members of our group of companies (our subsidiaries, our ultimate holding company and its subsidiaries, as defined in section 1159 of the Companies Act 2006).
- Service providers who host our systems or provide support to us, under contracts that require them to protect your data and use it only on our instructions.
- A prospective buyer or seller if we sell or buy any business or assets.
- Anyone we are legally required to share it with, or where it is needed to protect the rights, property or safety of us, our customers or others.
Where we store it
Your data is stored on secure systems, including those of our hosting providers. Where it is transferred outside the UK, we make sure it is protected by an adequacy decision or by appropriate safeguards such as the UK’s International Data Transfer Agreement.
Transmission of information over the internet is never completely secure, but once we have received your information we use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect it. If we have given you a password for any part of our Site, please keep it confidential.
How long we keep it
We keep personal data only as long as we need it for the purposes above, or as long as the law requires, and then delete it securely. Sign-in records are covered above.
Your rights
You have the right to:
- see the personal data we hold about you (access requests are free)
- have inaccurate data corrected
- ask us to delete your data, or to restrict or stop using it, where the law allows
- object to our use of your data based on legitimate interests, and to stop marketing at any time
- receive your data in a portable format, where the law allows
- withdraw any consent you have given, at any time
To use any of these rights, contact us using the details below. We will respond within one month. If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk, 0303 123 1113), though we would welcome the chance to put things right first.
