Coatings Manager

Taziker are looking for a Contracts/Coatings Manager, working on a national basis. We would love to speak to individuals who have over 10 years experience in rail delivery/engineering discipline and over 5 years of experience with temporary works. This is a great opportunity for someone who is looking for somewhere who will support their growth, qualifications and career in this area.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Plan and manage all aspects of coatings jobs from start to finish including labour resources, plant and materials to undertake the works, keep track of labour working hours, enforce company quality and safety policy.
  • Undertake inspections of the works to make sure it complies with the specification. Work to budgets and give advice to project managers on scaffold and encapsulation methods to facilitate the works.
  • Assist in ensuring that all operatives are competent and certified.
  • Ensure that equipment and materials are available and in good order.
  • Ensure that work carried out by Taziker employee's complies with the clients requirements and our company standards.
  • Carry out inspections of work, completing inspection reports and identifying remedial actions.
  • Follow up remedial actions and recommend improvements.
  • Directs and coordinates activities of project personnel to ensure project progresses on schedule and within prescribed budget.
  • Ensure own self-knowledge is maintained and identify opportunities for training and improvement.
  • Ensure compliance is being met with all company policies and that appropriate procedures are developed and implemented to achieve their intent.
  • Ensure all documents and records produced are kept secure and are reviewed to maintain validity.
  • Identify and agree SMART opportunities for company improvement, create action plans for achievement and monitor progress.
  • Attend regional accreditation assessments ensuring all local evidence is available to fulfil assessment body criteria.
  • Additional duties and responsibilities may be required to fulfil company requirements or following changes in legislation or policy.

Knowledge

  • Great attention to detail.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Project.
  • Experience of building and maintaining good working relationships.
  • Whas great communication skills and can converse with groups and individuals confidently.
  • Up to date knowledge of Industry Standards and someone who is a team player but who also works well independently.

Essential Qualifications and Experience

  • SMSTS and CSCS card
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Icorr level 2 Paint inspection certification
  • Graduated, in a relevant degree qualification or you have more than 3 years relevant work experience in similar role.

  • Railway Personal Track Safety
  • New roads and Street works act - Supervisor
