Plater Welder and Fabricator Operatives

We are looking for time served platers, welders and fabricators to join our busy workshops in Blackburn. Works include fabrication of new bridges, medium to heavy structural steel and other complex structures.

Standard hours 07:30-16:30 Monday-Thursday 15:15 finish on a Friday with overtime available and the option to work night shift.

Knowledge and Experience required:

  • Time served platers, welders and fabricators with medium to heavy fabrication experience.
  • Ability to read and understand fabrication drawings
  • Experienced in both MIG and FCAW processes and be ability to weld to a coded standard of 9606-1
  • Ability to work to execution class 3 standard BSEN 1090-2
  • Used to working in a fast-paced fabrication shop
  • Willing to work overtime as and when required
  • Previous experience with overhead cranes, slinging and signalling.
  • We are looking for individuals who have an excellent attention to detail, can work well in a team as well as be able to work alone without direct supervision and have great communication skills.
