Junior Planner
Support our delivery teams in coordinating project plans alongside the operations, commercial, and design departments. This opportunity is tailored for individuals looking to pursue a career in planning within the construction and civil engineering sector.
As this is a junior role training in the relevant software packages will be provided.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Understand project requirements and assist in maintaining project programmes.
- Develop logic-driven, cost and/or resource loaded programmes for Tender Projects
- Incorporate contractor and sub-contractor programs into these construction programmes.
- Maintaining live project programmes and collecting periodic progress updates through interfacing with cross-functional teams.
- Assist in keeping projects on track by identifying critical activities and evaluating remedial actions.
- Prepare reports (weekly, monthly, 4-week lookahead etc.)
- Produce commentary on changes to project plans and critical paths.
- Understanding and meeting all contract requirements.
- Attending and scheduling meetings as required.
- Effective Communication of project risks and opportunities to the project team
Knowledge and Experience
- Experience of building and maintaining good working relationships with people of all levels
- Strong analytical skills and problem-solving ability
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills
- A team player who also works well independently
- Organised and self-motivated, with the ability to manage own workload effectively
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Project
Qualifications and Certificates
- Graduated, in a relevant degree qualification or you have 3 years relevant work experience in a similar role.
- Proficient in Programming software packages – Oracle Primavera P6, Oracle Primavera Cloud, MS Project
