Assistant Quantity Surveyor
Taziker are seeking an experienced Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join our team in Scotland. Based in East Kilbride, the primary focus of this role will be to assist the site and project surveyors in the development and implementation of all pre and post contract strategies, commercial functions and contract reporting.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Conducting subcontractor procurement exercises to obtain best value. This would include the production of sub-contractor documentation, produced to Taziker framework standards.
- Building up client quotations.
- Producing and submitting interim and final accounts to the client.
- Evaluating and certifying Sub-contractor payments through ordering and financial systems.
- Production and issue of client invoices.
- Provide daily supervision of the Commercial Administrator, ensuring that tasks are complete.
- Ensure compliance with standards and procedures in respect of Commercial activities
- Agreement of final accounts
- Understanding Client Budgets and maintaining constant dialog to reach year end targets
- Implement commercial processes to ensure contractual entitlement is realised
- Subcontract procurement and management
- Monthly cost and value reconciliation & management
- Work within strict deadlines required under the contract and required by the company
- Site visits
- Ad hoc commercial duties as job requires
Essentials
- Degree in Quantity Surveying or equivalent
- Travel / driving to sites is required
